The same sun that we look forward to brightening our days threatens those in Haiti who have lost everything. With help, Haiti can revive. Partners in Health has been working in Haiti for twenty years. “Our mission is a preferential option for the poor in health care. By establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty, Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.” Join these amazing local musicians in an act of giving that builds solidarity with those suffering while growing local culture for Olympian enjoyment. We can survive the darkness together.

Kimya Dawson http://www.myspace.com/kimyadawson
She describes her music as happy and sad and scared and brave all mixed up together. It also kinda sounds like the girl part of the Moldy Peaches because she is the girl part of the Moldy Peaches. Her vulnerability attracts and her strength of spirit inspires.

Congratulations http://www.myspace.com/congratulationssss
They consist of Jordan Ingram (vocals), Abigail Ingram (bass), Chad Austinson (drums) and Matt Buscher (guitar). They borrow from many different styles of music including jazz, vintage country, pop, and classical to form a unique amalgamation of sound. Sad and sweet, good news and bad news, Congratulations brings a little of everything to the table in a delicate, yet engaging manner.

Mirror Mirror http://www.myspace.com/olymirror
Mirror Mirror is an experiment in sound and image.Combine the two, and you have a soundtrack reminiscent of dramatic 60’s pop and psychedelia. The songwriting duo of Jason Campbell and Ian Freddes bring the best in hi-fidelity sounds for the mind. The sound that makes you feel like you just awoke from a nightmare, trembling and with a racing pulse, but still all you want is to go back to sleep to finish the dream.

Western Hymn http://www.myspace.com/westernhymn
Kill Rock Stars alumni Craig Extine (Old Haunts) and Sarah Utter (Bangs) joined forces with drummer extraordinaire Kris Cunningham (Couch of Eureka) in a damp Olympia basement during March of 2009. Inspired by rain, motorcycles, and minivans, Western Hymn keeps it simple with garage inspired riffs and driving rhythms.

Rainbow Bridge http://www.myspace.com/rainbowbridge23
They blend the inspirational healing force and foresight of the new millenial child with the soul power and harmonic wisdom of the generation post-ABCer. Pitchfork reviews described their 7″ release this way. “From its slow motion rise to its drifting, grinning peak to its inevitable splashdown, it’s utterly confident and contented in its crisp melody, natural execution, and simple, evocative lyrics.”
