What is Everyday Olympia all about?
It all started with Trixy and Mathias Eichler opening einmaleins
in downtown Olympia in the late Summer of 2007. Mathias was wondering
how he should advertise his new store. After talking to a lot of
folks around town he realized he wasn't alone with this problem,
and he decided he would take matters into his own hands.
First Friday was
created in December of 2007 as a platform for all businesses and
organizations in downtown Olympia to open their doors and welcome
the community to taste what downtown has to offer.
After great response from community members and
business owners, Mathias decided to extend the reach of this monthly
event and create a greater platform that could facilitate as a
voice and face for Downtown Olympia. The idea for a new Internet
platform, Everyday Olympia was born.
Everything is still in its infancy; the Web site
is handcoded, and we working hard to make the site known and to
create a positive face for the beautiful area that is downtown
Olympia.
if you're interested in participating and contributing
or advertising, send
us an e-mail or swing by einmaleins,
