The previously announced rate increases at Olympia’s 3- and 9-hour parking meters go into effect Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Not changing are rates for 15-minute meters and the new parking Pay Stations. Parking staff will be in the field on Tuesday, September 7, changing out stickers and reprogramming meters. Last Year we gathered a few amazing people and started a tradition here in Olympia “A Table for Olympia“. Olympia loved it, and the response really far exceeded our expectations. This year, on September 11th the event is happening again, and we are very excited. The Olympia Action Network and the Volunteer Center of Lewis, Mason and Thurston County are organizing the event this year. And if the weather will hold and all indications are correct, this event will break the barriers of the “one block” street closure and we can safely work on “the bigger picture” for next year.
