‘Belleza’ will soon be taking over the old Capital Footwear location. All we have to go on at this time, is the sign in the window… which reads: “Featuring clothing, shoes, and accessories by Eileen Fisher, Flax, Not Your Daughter’s Jeans, Dansko, Sofft, Wolky, Fidji, Willow Sweaters, and more!” We’ll let you know when they open their doors!
‘Creative Dye Works’ opened up in downtown Olympia earlier this month. The shop does custom screen printing and features tye dye and imported clothing, posters, wall tapestries, band t-shirts, jewelry, soy candles, and more. Creative Dye Works moved up here from Centralia to snag some better business, and so far it’s working! I’m really excited about the screen printing. They can do up to six colors! The tapestries are beautiful and the dresses are lovely. I suggest you check this out! Welcome to the neighborhood! [more]

There’s a new donut shop in Olympia, and its unlike any donut shop I’ve ever seen… it’s actually interesting, colorful, and fun inside and they have a ton of things to choose from, including ‘combo meals’. Check out the dry-erase board in the second photo. Hawaiian hot dogs? Definitely worth checking out, I’d say…. Twister Donuts is located at 2302 Martin Way, (where 4th/State turn into Martin/Pacific.) [more]

Just walked by the formerly “Audio Northwest” store front next to Bayside Quilting across from Old School Pizza on Franklin St. and read on the posted sign that come March 1st we will have a new garden supply store in downtown. Garden Gnome might be the name, if I remember correctly. Inside it still looks pretty bare, but the first shelves are being put up and some deliveries arrived already. [more]
