P1010149Look what’s hitting the streets of Olympia on December 2nd, 2009! ‘Olympia Power& Light’, a new print-only newspaper is coming our way. It’s been put together by locals, for locals… what could be better than that? Meta Hogan and Matt Green are the publishers/editors of ‘Olympia Power & Light’, with hopes of tackling the ‘lack of in-depth coverage of local issues in Olympia’, said Meta, and to ‘bridg[ing] the gap between big media coverage and blogs’, said Matt.

My first impression of OPL was that the voice this paper has is uniquely… human. Not some mumbo jumbo that puts me to sleep. They sound like real people and I don’t see how that can’t be good. Personal voice has slowly been taking over for the past few years and I’ve always wondered why nobody thought of it sooner.
