How to Build Green with ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) – June 25th
Planning to build a home or addition? Consider building with Insulated Concrete forms to increase both the energy performance and the economic value of your home. OR if you loved playing with Legos when you were a kid, you’ll want to attend the ICF workshop to learn a fun and easy way to build. ICF’s look like giant white Legos made of environmentally friendly foam (EPS) and 60% recycled material. The walls are built as you would build with Legos with the pieces interlocking with one another. Add some rebar, pour some concrete and you got a strong shell of a building. There is a bit more to it, so the workshop will go over the benefits and process of building with Amvic ICF — the strongest ICF on the market.
EverGreen Depot and the Northwest Ecobuilding Guild have teamed up to launch a new High-Performance Building Training Series. Whether you’re a homeowner or a contractor whose customers are demanding “Built Green” or just energy efficient homes and remodels, these trainings are for you. The first training features building with insulated concrete forms (ICF) on Thursday, June 25 in conjunction with the Construction and Energy Best Practices Summit, June 25-26, at Satsop Development Park (see www.pacificmountainalliance.org for more info on the Summit)
